Biography

  Farhad Fard was born in 1983 in Tehran. He went to ShahidBeheshti elementary school from 1989 to 1994. While studying in Sama junior high school (1994-1997) he started learning the Tonbak (a traditional Iranian musical instrument) under the supervision of master, Matloobi. Although he wanted to study in Arts but he was forced to study in Math. He earned his diploma in mathematics from FajreDanesh high school (1997-2001) .when he was studying in high school; he started learning the piano under the supervision of master, Azadbakht and then master, Karbakhshzade.

  In 2001, he got accepted in Khayam university of Mashhad in the field of computer engineering and he stayed there until 2006. During these five years, he started playing the Harmonica and did some studies on cinema and music. Furthermore, he took some musical theory and solfege courses in Jahad university of Mashhad.

  After his graduation he came back to Tehran and started learning harmony under the supervision of professor, Rohani and he got his certificate to teach the Harmonica from Khane Musiqi (an official music office in Iran). In 2007 he took two-year-directing course in Kanoon Cinamagaran Javan (KCJ). Among his professors were Kambozia Partovi, Reza Jakan, Farzad Motamen, Reza Mirkarimi, Mohamadreza Delpak, Reza Nabavi, Ahmad Talebi nejad and etc.

  In addition to teaching the harmonica, he is active in directing, editing, sound designing and composing soundtracks in his personal studio.
